1. Terschelling, Netherlands

Located 85 miles from Amsterdam this island is mainly a tourist destination. The island’s oldest settlements track back to 800AD. Among its main attractions is the Bandari’s lighthouse. It is the oldest lighthouse in the Netherlands. The island offers plenty of sand time for beachgoers. 8. Meteora, Greece

Historic monasteries are perched on dramatic cliffs that rise to a height of over 400 meters in addition to angelic views from a 360-degree perspective. Meteora is considered as holy ground by Christians all over the globe because of the monasteries.

9. Ullastret, Spain

This is one of Spain’s authentic towns that doubles down as a must stop for food lovers. In addition to that, the town has a religious background as it hosts the church of Sant Pere dedicated to St Peter and Paul in the 9th century.

10. Lech, Austria

The last of our 10 must visit European Towns this summer, but it’s a good one. On the banks of River Lech, exists a mountain village famous for its beautiful scenery and snow. Visit this town for no other reason than to enjoy the beautiful scenery while skiing down the snow covered mountain. The high-quality service in the hotels comes as a bonus.
